Bhati King
Jetsee was the ruler of Lodhrava. His 9 year’s old son became victim of wasting
leprosy. King tried hard to cure him but the disease became more serious day to
day to day. At last he prayed to his family-diety. She said, “If you want to
cure him then, pray to Acharya Jinduttsuri”.
At that time
Acharya Shri was in Sindh province (Pakistan). So he went to sindh and
requested him to do the next darshan ki Chah. Acharya assured the King that he
would cure his son if he was prepared to convert himself and family to
Mahajanns and became Oswal. King gave his conscent.
Acharya did his
chaturmas at Lodhrava Pattan. After three days treatment his son became well. King
Jetsee became Jain Shravak and his gotra was named ‘Rakhe-chah’. Few Rakhechah
families settled in Pungaldesh and then went else where, so they named
‘Pungalia’.
It is said that
Acharya Shri Deogupta Suri of Upkesh Gachh enlightened Bhati Rao Rakhechi at
Kaler in V. 878 and named the new gotra Rakhecha. Its sub-gotras are Pungaliya.

According to
Col. Tod, Kalhan had four sons named Davesee, Tripal, Bhawani, Rakhecha. Family
of Rakhecha left farming became businessmen and gor converted into Oswal then
their gotra was named ‘Rakhecha’.
According to
Yati Shripalchand Bhati King Sonpal of Pungal had a son named Kalhandev was
suffering of leprosy. In V.1187. Acharya Shri Jindutt Suri cured him by rubbing
ghee made from cow’s milk. King Sonpal with full family converted themselves
into Oswals. They were named ‘Rakhechas’.
Rakhecha
Shri Lachhiram – Bikaner
He
was the Diwan of Bikaner during V. 1852-53. In his last days he renounced the
world. He established Alakh Math, and Alakh Sagar (a well). Rakhecha
Mangalchandji of this family was the member of Resency Counsil of Maharaja
Gangasinghji.
