In the 14th century some Mehta families arrived Gujrat and setted in Putri 24 miles away from Bhuj. They converted into Oswals. In V. 1365 Punatar and Panna managed a grand feast so they were named Dharod. Some families left farming and did business of cloth. So they were named kapadia.
